“Incontinence as a Barrier to Exercise"
Kim Gordon, MPT
ActivePT
Millions of people suffer from involuntary loss of urine called urinary incontinence (UI). Women are twice as likely to be affected by UI than men. Pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, and the structure of the female urinary tract account for this difference. An increasing population of men affected by prostate problems is causing their number to rise. This can lead to a sensitive issue for men and women that can affect their ability to engage in their favorite activities. Kim will talk about conservative treatment options and how therapy can help you manage your incontinence. Kim Gordon, MPT, is a physical therapist with Active PT and specializes in treating urinary incontinence.
All lectures are held in the multi-purpose room of the RAC. They are free and open to the public.
